Who Am I?

Short Version: I’m a compassionate, quirky, romantic, intelligent, witty, complex (yet surprisingly down-to-earth), perfectly imperfect 33 year-old living in Sarasota… just trying to carve out my space in the world.

Long Version: Over the last several years, I have learned a few things. The most important being that Life is a journey. It is a marathon, not a sprint. Challenges come in to our lives to make us, not to break us. Things happen when and how they are supposed to. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go after what you want. I’m not the type to stand around, waving my hands in the air, saying “I’m the good guy. I deserve to win.” No one is just going to come up and hand you your dreams on a silver platter. That’s not the way it works. But, as in all things, there must be a balance. Don’t get the wrong impression that I’m totally grounded and nice or completely Zen. I can be bitchy and quirky, and I have a habit of falling down… a lot. Sometimes it’s okay not to look before you leap. Sure, the landing may kill you, but the fall could be totally worth it. Yes, I’ve made mistakes, and I will make more. It’s human nature… but a mistake is only a mistake if you can’t learn something from it. Think of the ups and downs of your life as lessons learned and blessings earned. In the end, I’m just one of the good guys trying to figure out how to achieve the best possible life I can.
